In SharePoint 2016, users can still change the regional settings for their own settings, although more steps are required. The option "My Settings" on the user's drop-down menu is no longer available.
This blog will demonstrate how to change your regional settings in SharePoint 2016.
1. Login with your account and click the arrow to show the drop-down menu. Click About Me.
2. The account page "My Site" appears. Click on the link Editing your profile.
3. This takes you to the page Edit Details. Click on the button [...] and select Language and Region.
4. The UI of Language and Region appears.
5. Section Region, Choose your settings. Select the 2nd option Always use my personal settings. The Locale is available, so select any locations (In my case, I will select "German (Germany)").
6. You can also configure "Set Your Calendar/ Enable an Alternate Calendar/ Define Your Work Week/ Time Format".
If not, just click Save All and close. Then, enjoy the result.
